In late September of this year,
after attending the always-delicious
Harvard coaching conference,
I entered a café in Boston,
ordered a chocolate chip cookie,
and hoped that my favorite table,
the one that overlooked the street,
was available.
It was.
I’d first sat there
three years prior
when my current life
didn’t exist
and I’ve returned
every year since,
to write and reflect
on the year that’s transpired
and the one to come.
If you are glancing at the
horizon of the new year
and wondering what’s possible,
for yourself,
your team,
and your organization
know that possibility is not fixed or limited
to January 1.
It can be found sitting in a café
or anywhere
there is a next moment.
