SARAH'S BOOKSHELF
First, some selections from what I'm reading right now. Following that, a few of my favorites. Okay, I confess! I am a book lover.
The Knack
I’ve read a lot on entrepreneurship & business, and this is still a favorite. A truly straight-talking, easy-to-understand guide to running a business and being an entrepreneur. Covers everything from an explanation of gross margin and its importance to the rigors of leading a team & hiring the right employees.
The Complete Book of Running for Women
Fabulous intro to running for women (and probably men!). Held my hand as I returned to running at age 38 after almost 15 years. After I ran my half-marathon, I called her up and thanked her for writing the book. We were both a little teary-eyed.
Steering by Starlight
This book has been on my nightstand for the last four years. I pick it up, read, practice, put it down, and pick it up again. For anyone looking to chart a new course toward themselves and the future, this is a practical and magical book all in one.
The Joy Diet
A little book that contains 10 menu items for a more joyful life. Simple yet so profound. Good stuff!
